In the forest, I love to notice the plants that aren’t just growing from the forest floor, but from above. Ferns and trees hang over the creek. Here, a very tall saucer raises the planter and the plant high, giving the String of Pearls succulent plenty of room to cascade and cast a beautiful pattern of shadows. When the planter is watered, it drips down into the long cylinder, which can be used as a tall vase. — Tung Chiang
