Form 53
Inside the round-bodied exterior vase, the plant pot within is slightly tapered, with a wide rim. I wanted to give the roots of the plant equal room from top to bottom so they wouldn’t be trapped in a tight space as they grow. The inner pot drains into the exterior vessel, which can also be used as a vase. The small foot at the base of the saucer gives the form a sense of lift and a profile reminiscent of a water drop. — Tung Chiang
